Information sheet for South Petherwin’s Got Talent 2022
Saturday July 9th – doors open 1.15 pm for 2 pm start, South Petherwin Church
Last date for registration is Tuesday 4th July
Registration forms are available from SP school and SP village noticeboard, or via email – see below. If the form is not convenient it is ok to email or message.
We need to know:
Age if under 18
If music – name of song or piece
If singing, it is best not to sing along to the original song if possible but to use a backing track (or instruments of course!). You can usually download these for free.
If using a backing track, or any other recorded music, we would need these by Tuesday 4th July, in MP3 format – however, if you have difficulty with this please do ask.
Let us know if you need any additional support to access the church or if there is anything else that you’d like us to be aware of and that would make things comfortable for you.
Lastly, we need to know that all under 16s are accompanied and supervised by a designated adult.
On the day, everyone will come in and buy their tickets at the door. All young performers will go to the left of the church and find a chair with their name on. If a child will want an adult sitting next to them at this point, please say and we will put out an extra chair. You will see a list of names in order at the front. Once you have performed you can go and sit with your family, so families please leave a little space.
Performances will be followed by refreshments, while the judges make their final decisions – we will then present the prizes! and draw the raffle.
Good luck everyone and get practicing!!!
Please hand registration sheets into school or email email@example.com (by Tuesday July 4th)
If you don’t feel like performing, we are also doing another posy competition, so please bring a small bunch of flowers clearly marked with your name, that we will hang from the ends of the pews and you will be entered into the competition! Larger arrangements are great too, but they need to be in a vase, again with your name.
Entrance includes refreshments: Adult £3, under 16 £1.50, under 5 free, 50p to enter (all ages).
Any questions, please do email (as above), use FB messenger – Abigail Caine or WhatsApp 07392 324679.
Top Tip! – tell everyone to bring a cushion!!
Also…. It’s a great idea to go to the church and practice – it is open usually between 9.30am and 6pm; stand at the front and go through your routine, it’ll help you feel much more confident on the day. You will be entering from the same side as the organ. We’re happy to support with this, so bring your adult and we can help you practice. ݉Try to keep within 3 minutes. Tell your friends in other villages too!!! All welcome 🙂
